" Requiem " 1996 Etching 40 cm × 30 cm |
---|
Nominators Comment Max Horbund is an accomplished artist who coached at the Art Students League of New York for a long period. His works have dramatic and historic themes inspired by Delacroix, and scene compositions charged with light that is reminiscent of Turner’s works. These themes are evident in the small etching titled “Requiem”, which also reveals Horbund’s excellent draftsmanship.
