ハッサン・キランの木版画はその力強さに誰しも驚きを禁じ得ない。決して新しい手法でもなければ、今日的な画像再生技術を援用した技法でもない。誰が見てもそれは木から彫り出された木版画であるが、古来不変の手法から生まれる彼の作品には独自のシンボルやメッセージが跳躍し、我々に想像力の豊かさを教えている。

Hasan Kiran’s woodblock print surprises everyone with its strength. The methods he uses are not new or especially relevant techniques of image reproduction. They are clearly woodblock prints carved using ancient methods but he makes his works special with his rich imagination.
