40年間作家活動を続けており、現在のChicagoで最も活躍している作家のひとり。名門シカゴ・アートクラブのメンバーで公共施設の彫刻や絵画も製作。受賞は多く、50以上の美術館などに公的収蔵がある。最近はNew Yorkの個展で版画を立体にした作品を発表し話題を呼んだと言うことだ。

With an artistic career spanning 40 years, John Himmelfurb is one of the most active artists in Chicago. He is a member of The Arts Club of Chicago and also creates carvings and drawings for local community facilities. He has won many awards and is represented in many public collections in over 50 museums. Recently he had a solo exhibition in New York where his new print works in 3D generated much interest in his audience.
