Comment

The theme of Šárka Trčková's work is “Children of the forest”. Children imply fragile existence whereas forests imply strong existence and mystery where anything could happen. In psychoanalysis the forest represents the unconscious world, mystery, sombreness, and insecurity. Thus her works do not represent the concrete world but portray the human mind. Her aquatint works are like fairy tales.
